I thought the same thing, but as the events unfolded today, I am wondering how much accurate information we have on him.. for example, I always assumed he was pro-choice, however, various pro-life groups today are praising it saying he is strong pro-life..

Steele is pro-life and anti-ESCR because it takes nascent life. People need to give him the benefit of the doubt regarding his Roe comments: what state is he from?

Someone else astutely observed he was taking a risk in MD by taking the conservative positions he did when he ran. Let's give the guy a chance.

I for one am excited by the "entry pass" this buys conservatives to criticize those policies we don't agree with from the President, without the knee-jerk "Racism! Racism!" That is a major, major benefit to Steele's election that cannot be understated.
