Space itself is expanding, which means that every point in the universe can be presented as its center, with every other point rushing away from it.

Well, the earth must be exempt, because I see a whole lot of gnashing of teeth if the earth is remotely considered as one of those points.

IIRC, the entire solar-system is supposedly exempt from this expansion. IOW, the system best suited for observing this assumed effect is excluded by definition.

Just a little too convenient, don't you think?
