It will track east of me. I am in Southern California and I wont even mention the kind of weather we have here. I ship time critical products to the rest of the country and have to keep an eye on the weather. Its business for me. Got a email alert from UPS today basically saying things are screwed up.

Nevermind, you’re in MA. LOL, guess I should have read your profile first. Whereabouts in SW KY does your family live?

If this pattern continues into spring, we will see more tornadoes up north.

I think these patterns replay over and over. I remember the outbreak of '74 as I was outside hanging out. Dang near got killed. Weather, gotta love it.

"Seriously though, things are bad and could be getting worse. We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers."

How heartbreaking. You can be sure our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Watching all this unfold -then reading that Obama turned up the thermostat in the White House because he's from Hawaii & used to being warm!! Seems that his Kool-Aid drinkers will overlook his total lack of judgement. Not bad enough that he had a very expensive cocktail party with so many people losing jobs & out of work.

Stay safe & layer up on clothing..It keeps you warmer with lots of layers.

And you have them mother! Everyone down there does. I don't know where Madisonville is, but as far as the Gov. didn't you just get a new one? You folks down there don't have a lot of equipment for this type of storm either, like snow removal and such. Thankfully, crews are arriving and more being sent, I hope relief comes fast. I have family down there too, and one niece I am not sure of the address of, ie: which town.

LOL! You can probably use the midwest next week ok but the mid-atlantic will be sloppy for a few days. (California should be sunny and dry all week) :^)

Ice Storm Outages Top Ky. Record

More than 607,000 Kentucky electric customers are now without power as a result of this week’s massive ice storm, the Kentucky Public Service Commission (PSC) says.

The storm has now caused the largest power outage on record in Kentucky, exceeding the 600,000 customers who lost power on Sept. 14, 2008, as a result of Hurricane Ike.

I’ve heard Elizabethtown, Hopkinsville, and Lexington. All with troubles similar to Louisville, almost to the same degree.

They are in Hodgenville and Senora. One niece is (I think) in Clarkson, not sure. My brother will see to her though I am sure, or they will go to her hubby's family in Tenn.

A great public works program would be to bury as much of the power grid as possible. If the government wants to throw money around I can’t think of a better project.
