Pennsylvanians, can Toomey take this guy out? Is a Santorum comeback at all possible?

This one IS Bush’s fault. He supported this turd the last time he ran for re-election.

We had that type of Senator here in Ohio but fortunately, he saw the writing on the wall and announced he would not seek reelection. The writing is that he had lost base support here and would not win reelection. He was a disgrace to this state and I consider Spector to be the same for those of you in Pennsylvania. It is time to boot the RINO'S.

The House Republicans yesterday have thrown down the gauntlet. They will define the future of the Republican party as having some gonads to oppose what is not right. Contrary to what the Reverend Lowry stated, "When white embraces what is right", the Republicans have done just that by sending a clear message that will not go along to get along.

This is a new day for Republicans and I for one am enthused by the events of yesterday. I can say I expect them to continue this loyal opposition thus paving the way for a successful 2010 and 2012....

Specter - George W’s Choice, must go.

He is a PERFECT example of how the Republican Party is FAILING America and FAILING its constituents.

Let him run as a Democrat. That’s what he is, always was, and always will be.

I don't think a Santorum comeback is possible in the present climate. The mime (Bob Casey, Jr.) even carried counties in 2006 which Oba Mao lost big in 2008, including ours.

Pat Toomey may be running for governor in 2010 and I think he has a decent shot. He's done a bang-up job with Club for Growth. There are other Republicans who might take on Specter. State Senator Joseph B. Scarnati, who is also our present Lt. Governor, might be one. He seems like a genuinely decent guy and played a major role in blowing the whistle on the pay-raise scandal.

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing Rendell incapcitated from overeating or speeding and forced to step down. Then Scarnati runs for re-election and Toomey is convinced to take Specter on in a rematch. This time, I think he would beat him. A lot of RINOs have already jumped to the jackass party. The SW part of our state actually gave Oba Mao fewer votes in 2008 than Kerry in 2004.

(sarc)Oh... but we HAVE to vote for GOP backed RINO's as they are the only ones that can win in those districts!( /sarc)

Maybe next election cycle we can get back to fronting real conservatives that don't stab us in the back on everything that really matters.

Ah, yes!

Arlen Specter: the Ghost of Liberalism, ever-present... How about a little song?

(can you guess the tune?) Arlen the Liberal Ghost,
The Whiney-est RINO you know!

(more to come...)

I loved Santorum. Sadly, I’m afraid he committed political suicide by campaigning so hard for this clown in order to defeat Toomey.
