Brothers and Sisters of the Alarm & Muster:
Organization in the entire call-tree is becoming solid and we are quickly approaching Phase II of our project. Phase I has always been focused on the organization of a network of communication and the past 10-weeks has seen well-regulation in this area. We did experience a few speed bumps but its those that make us stronger.
Before I discuss Phase II of our project, I want to address logistics. The Southeast Region has become very large and discussions have been held over the past week in regards to its size. As a result of these discussions, it was decided to split the Southeast Region into the Southeast and South. A new Regional POC to oversee the new South Region has been identified and will be announced next week; Jim Horton will remain as the POC over the Southeast United States. A diagram of how the Alarm & Muster Regions will be divided can be seen here.
For those of you who have not had any contact w/ your POCs (state or region), please do so quickly or you will be left behind in our growth and will result in you being left out. The aim of the Alarm & Muster is communication and the only direction is forward.
With the growth of our tree, Phase II will be implemented in the next few weeks. The latter months of 1774 into the early months of 1775, the colonials had perfected their network of communication to the point that they had designated muster locations. A gentleman in northern Florida is already doing this and the entire network should do the same. More on this will be discussed at a later time.
For now, I am announcing that ready or not? The call-tree test will be implemented this week.
At a time of my choosing, I will make a call to all of the Regional POCs with the words, Call to Muster. This is a test of the Alarm & Muster. Ride out. It will be their duty to call their State POCs and relay to them the same. State POCs, it will be your duty to contact your POCs under you and so on. For those of you who have independent lists, if youd like to integrate them into the test, inform them of a coming test this week. When the call comes to you from your POC, then you make your calls to your tree. This is not a time for phone conversations or pleasantries. Ride-out, alert those you have stewardship over, and ride on to the next town. Dont linger!
After the test is implemented, I will be asking the Regional POCs to collect feedback. I will also have sleepers in the group to report to me as to whether they received a call or not. So if youre a Regional, State, District, or Camp POC, be sure your own tree is in order.
Pictured above is a mustard tree. If you have not had the opportunity to hold a mustard seed in your hand, go to your local grocer into the spice section, find mustard seeds, and see just how small they are. Just one of those seeds, if properly nurtured, sprouts into the tree pictured above. We are a seedling project and just as a mustard seed grows into a large tree so birds may nest in its branches, so shall we grow to shelter those around us who are unable to shelter themselves.
Appeal to heaven,
