This is a more complex question than one might think. Many people think of zombies as an undistinguished mass, but that’s just media spin.

The boys do better at it than the girls do ... it’s a spatial-relations thing.
The diagrams zombies make are *shudder* rather odd and distracting.
I could get banned for saying what I think they deserve, but it could be worth it.
Nah. Let’s just say they have their rewards here, and that on the Other Side, retribution will be exactly what they deserve, in exactly the right proportions to what they have or haven’t done.
In the meantime, we get to deal with idiocy.

I have to put this on here before I forget it.
I’ve had 2 recent dreams similar to zombie invasion scenarios.
The first one was something like that old John Carpenter movie, “Prince of Darkness.” I somehow ended up on the steps of a large, stone, circular cathedral. I walked in and heard people standing in a circle chanting, and it was rising in pitch and volume. Looking closer, there was nothing in the center of the circle. When I turned my back, I felt ozone and heard a lightning bolt hit behind me. I looked again and there was a male figure, in a kind of red garment, and no face. But where his eyes were to be, little yellow orbs glowed and grew. Then a yellowish-red lightning burst from his eyes and struck at random people in the cathedral. The fell over -dead- and came back up, firing their own lightning at people, spreading it like a plague.
I ran in a southwest direction. pure adrenalin keeping me going until I couldn’t see the lightning or hear the screaming anymore. I came across a friend I work with at his home, told him what happened, and told him that we had to barricade the house he was in. He believed me when he saw the northeast horizon glowing and smoking. Then asked about the whereabouts of his girlfriend. I said I didn’t know, but, “If she’s in that direction, she’s dead. Everything there is dead.”
At this point, people were running like hell all around. My friend and I were boarding up the doors and windows, but I could see in his eyes that he was going to bolt, and look for his GF. I tried again to explain to him that whatever this was, it was actively hunting the living, and heading this way. I went to get some more lumber, and he was gone. The lightning and smoke arrived, and I was hiding under something in the attic.
Then I woke up.
The second dream was very brief.
Running from zombies, I came upon a gas station with a garage. On the walls of the garage were lots and lots of swords. I was about to grab the Katana when the owner/operator saw me. I told him about the current zombie issue and he gives me this 5 foot long wooden cane/stick with a pointy end. Right as I was about to start stabbing the zombies in their heads, I woke up.
Yeah. I have weird dreams.
I do too. Back in the mid-70s I wrote a "spacewar" game for the university's computer -- one zips about the solar system shooting at planets, but watch out for the missiles...

I seem to have control of my actions in my dreams, but not the content.
I keep thinking that it’d have been cool to have seen a lightsaber on the wall of that garage.....
Any dream that I can wake up from is a good dream. But I have to tell you, I’ve had a few similar to yours.
I could interpret them for you, but that might take the fun out of having them.
And people DO have control of their actions in their dreams. Most of them just don’t know it.

It’s Phoebe; Chloe is doing fine.
Phoebe is lounging behind the papasan chair, staring at the morsel of food I put down next to her about three hours ago.
I guess I’m in for another day of “open wide, here it comes!”
I got a syringe that makes it easier to get the food in her mouth, but I have to be careful not to give her too much at once.
She did poo a little last night, so what little food she got is moving through okay.

Two things happen when you get older.
One is that you tend to forget things, and I don’t recall what the other one is.
I’m so glad she is improving! Even a little gain is still a gain, and that’s good. *HUG*
That wouldn't have done much good unless you have the Jedi skill to dodge or deflect oncoming blasts.
Your scenario would not appear to have a happy outcome. With no way to salvage the zombies once they're infected, the result is a foregone conclusion. You lose.
To make a good game, you'll need a conversion weapon. Something simple perhaps, like a wet towel, (with appropriate credit to Douglas Adams) and sunglasses to withstand the optical blast.
Actually, I don't care much for this game scenario. It reminds me too much of current politics.

I rarely dream much. Those two hit just last month within four days of each other.
I kind of fly in some of my dreams, too. It’s more of a kind of jumping over and over, higher and higher, until something in my chest catches some kind of warmth, and it pulls me into flight. I don’t really go that high, just kinda go from about 300 feet up to skimming the surface at high speeds.
I do remember that I didn’t fly in that first dream because I knew that if I did, I’d be an easy target for the lightning. Thus, I ran like hell.
Oh, the zombies in the garage dream were the regular kind -no lightning involved.
Oh spatial not spatula,I sometimes see what I think I hear when I read. Spatula games and relation can be quiet fun. But most often they are quite nosily. My hearing has always been a little off.
