If I have read Governor Palin correctly, she understands the virtue of gratitude well, and I would not wish her any other way. For whatever mix of reasons, McCain did pick her as VP nominee. Even in spite of his post election behaviour, she will certainly feel an obligation to lend him support. We should remember though that if there is a primary challenge to McCain, Sarah could simply recuse herself on the basis that this is a internal matter for Arisona Republicans to decide without outside interference. If McCain wins the primary, then she can support him against the Democrat. Problem solved.

That is the way I hope it will go down here. First we have to find someone to challenge him who can overcome his power here.

Palin would lose a lot of political capital if she supports McCain in any way.

It was despicable how he treated her.
