A first grade teacher collected well known proverbs. She gave each child in her class the first half of a proverb and asked them to come up with the remainder of the proverb. Their insight may surprise you.

I taught Physical Education for five years, just 5 hours a day. Gives you a whole new insight on children, other than your own, and I have 4.
If I HAD to teach full time I would pick third graders. They are old enough to ‘do for themselves’ and yet still so sweet and lovable.
