The point is that the only thing that needs to be done is to get one court to order Obama to release the documents in question.
The definition of ‘then’ thing is a joke right?
They did mention it in the first sentence. It isn’t necessary to mention it along with the father later, as I already pointed out, because it was implied due to the laws at the time.
Obama will
If we get this on the books, it will at least make the next election more interesting.
That was the case in the US until 1922.
That is simply untrue. On one of these threads, someone posted a New York Times Travel Section article from 1971 about travel to Pakistan.
Sorry, I meant “1981,” not “1971.”
Sadly, too many Freepers think about the eligibility issue in terms of electoral politics instead of constitutioal terms.
If 0bama were just a regular person, or regular liberal but happened to have this eligibility issue, it would be bad enough. But with all the Trojan horse stuff which we all know about so I won’t bother with the list, he will have caused so much ruin that winning another election will not be the easiest thing in the world.
Meanwhile, I do think that conservatives, especially those who vote Republican, should do everything we can to elect real conservatives with courage (are there more than a handful right now?) to every office both local, state and federal as possible. In my heart of hearts, I do think “things” are going to have to come to some sort of head (as in boil) to get better. There is too much corruption (which used to mean also physical rot as in gangrene and infection) in both parties but especially the Dems. THere is so much corruption that needs to be made public. Can’t clean the house without stirring up the dirt.
I am not afraid. I always thought it was stupid. If it were required it should have been done before the first primary vote. His mama was a US citizen that’s all I care about. And Bambi makes me puke. I can’t stand to look at him. I can’t stand the sound of his voice. I totally detest him, and spare myself being miserable by avoiding him. BC fanatics have been labeled like it or not as fringe kooks. That is why even talk radio didn’t go there, it is just plain kooky.
All true...I should have said SOLELY political. You are so right that we should do our best to field the most conservative, constitution-abiding candidates possible.
If you educated yourself about this - takes a lot of reading - you would likely think differently.
Oops - my comment above was meant for libbylu - pardon me!
It’ll take a multi-pronged effort. That’s why I immediately suspect anyone who says “move on”, “moot point”, or otherwise pushes giving up and just concerning ourselves with next elections. ANother thing is that people who promote giving up (what to speak of worse distraction/disruption comments) and promote elections - why the heck are they wasting their time on these threads? Doesn’t make sense.
It’s gotta be fought on various fronts. Not just one.
I have come to believe that no matter what the COLB says, its moot.It is over folks. We now end this broadcast day.
Keep your memories, soon it will be all we have to comfort us. How down was that? It’s all coming true, right down to the green bread.GPS tracking on us , cameras, listening devices, reading this.
Pick any national emergency and use Bush’s Executive orders signed back in July — remember the ones the liberals were so worried about???
And, if that happens then what is to prevent Obama from instituting some type of “Fairness Doctrine” over the SAT waves, or the Newspapers, or the TV, or eventually, the Internet???
No, if Rush is taken off the air via the Fairness Doctrine THAT marks the end of Freedom of Speech... It’s only a matter of time then that they will do this to ALL forms of Speech. How far will Conservatives (and even some rational Democrats) let it go until we say “Enough is Enough”???
No, the problem is ALREADY here — that there are enough Democrats in the House and Senate and in positions of leadership to push through this bill, and that they DON’T see it as being Unconstitutional (or if they know it they could care less) means we are in dangerous territory already...
The First Amendment is really the litmus test for how far people will let things go, IMHO. Throughout history it usually happens in this order: First to go is Freedom of Speech, then when those in power have control over the public’s “minds” they go for the “biggies” - i.e. Confiscation of Weapons, Suspension of Civil rights as they regard due process, etc... etc...
So, as I said, it doesn’t matter if Rush “moves” his show the damage is already done, and wherever he “moves” will only signal the next front to their war on the First Amendment.
That’s what I’m afraid of at this point — and even if there IS an “election” after seeing what ACORN was involved with, and various other voting irregularities people have been complaining about for years now I have my doubts that it will be a “real election”. Heck, even this year’s election doesn’t seem “real”! For instance, how in the heck did McCain go from being completely broke in July with all of us calling him a traitor and such for the whole amnesty debacle to being our candidate???
Well, that’s all in the past now. The thing is there is a bill right now in Congress (somewhere) that speaks of ending Presidential Term Limits. What’s to stop them from using rigged elections, and removing term limits in order to install Obama basically as POTUS for life??? Look at Chavez, and then remember the E.O.s Bush signed last July about Martial Law, and states of Emergency - the ones the liberals were VERY worried about thinking that Bush would suspend the election - there is nothing to stop Obama from using those orders.
Nah... It’ll be those “Clandestine DOMESTIC Agents” the CIA is advertising for on Clear Channel right now (at least in Central Ohio — I don’t know if those advertisements are being carried across the country or not, just heard about it yesterday from another FReeper).
Rush has always been afraid of being shut down; just not by the FCC. There are clearly topics that he cannot cover; that is why he has made his'kook' declarations about real conservatives. Remember when he did it on his TV program, and 2/3 of his audience quit listening, which killed the show that season?
