I agree that the GOP hasn’t sounded like Rush since Newt left. Newt shouldn’t have resigned from Congress, in Jan. 1999. He was a sore loser, because the Republicans lost four seats, in the U.S. House, in Nov. ‘98. Republicans retained control of both houses. He should have remained in Congress, two more terms, and he should have recruited more conservative candidates, in 2000 and ‘02.
