Lately the Dem Governors have been stirring the rats nest.
First Blago and now Patterson. Rat fights are soooooooo enjoyable....theatre of the absurd. Gosh its fun to watch these DemRats implode....

Always have to look up how to spell Chappaquiddick every time the word occurs to me . . and it occurs to me every time Ted Kennedy’s name is mentioned.

“Teddy: “Quick, get me an Oldsmobile!”

I have an idea to settle this whole thing. The Drunken Swimmer needs to challenge Paterson to a duel. They each pick their weapons: Paterson selects a pistol and walks back ten paces. Teddy picks an Olds and backs up ten paces! I’m pretty sure that the Governor can not shoot straight and that Sen. Chivas can not drive straight. It would be high comedy! We need to have this happen.

The Kennedys are so outraged that the uh, ya know Camel-lot princess was not chosen. Yet where was this outrage when MJ Kopechne was murdered by this blowhard?

By the way, stop being so mean to the blind, black Governor you racist rats!

I have mixed feelings about JFK, but not about the rest of the clan. He joined the navy and took a PT boat, which was a risky assignment. He could have gone for something far less dangerous.

I've always believed his dad pulled some strings on the PT109 thing, as there was never a formal decision rendered on the sinking, and getting your boat run over by another boat is never a good thing as far as the Navy is concerned. Looking back, it is funny to see how the media painted the 109 getting run over by a Jap cruiser that didn't even know it was there was a great moment in naval history. JFK, to his credit, would only say, "I was on a ship, it sank."

I think JFK was the best of the Kennedys. I have no idea what his son would have been like, but I suspect that he would have been a lot like his dad, but not as bright.

Over 45 years of mythologizing his memory and actual record has obscured just what a filthy horn-dog pig JFK was in his personal life, and how nearly catastrophically inept he was as president.

Say Nixon wins in '60 -- no Camelot. And, for that matter, no LBJ -- probably no Viet Nam, certainly no Great Society, no merging of the government operating budget with the Social Security budget.

In which case, Humphrey likely wins in '68. Not Nixon. No Watergate.

Then, it's Reagan in '76. No Carter. The economy turns around before it has a chance to go in the tank. We win the Cold War four years earlier.

Elections have consequences...

To tell you the truth, I don’t think the Gov gives a flying you-know-what about what the Kennedy’s want. If he did he would have picked her.

While you are likely right in your assessment, it serves as little more than a searing indictment on the entire clan, that JFK was the best of the lot, as mediocre as he was. The power of "mythology" is still strong within our kind, that we cling to the myth that JFK could, in any way, shape, or fashion, be considered a "great" President, or even a great man in general...
