No, it's not from the Onion, but it's not at all true. Look at the transcript of the interview. Pelosi said nothing like what is described in this thread. She said, in fact, that she didn't see any sexism in the treatment of Kennedy, just typical, rough-and-tumble politics.

Pelosi is a never-ending source of things to ridicule and criticize. Let's stick to what she actually says, rather than simply making stuff up.

When Patterson first picked her I was cautiously optimistic, now I’m just cautious.
