I understand your point, but I also understand Rush's. He is using the absurd to illustrate absurdity. The very Congress that gave Merril Lynch the money, with no strings attached, and no guidelines on how to use that money, is not crying that Merril Lynch spent money on redecorating.

If Obama is serious about marginalizing Limbaugh, he has at his disposal, sympathizers within the FBI, CIA, Homeland Security, eventually the Justice Dept., to set up Limbaugh in some legal strangle, black mail, or simply eliminate him...I hope Rush has the courage to see this and continue to ridicule Obama....I hope he has paid all of his taxes...

Exactly. Plus there IS no difference whether Merrill Lynch uses the money or loans it out for others to use the money (like as Rush said, redecorating Warren Buffet's office). In fact, banks/holding companies are holding on to the bailout money and it's not 'stimulating' anything. So Merrill's renovations actually _did_ get money to the 'little people' who did the work.

And yes, it's the wrong way to do it, but there's nothing wrong with Rush's 'logic' there.
