For many Americans, the ENTIRE POINT of the ‘08 election was to be part of the novelty of electing the first black President.

That accomplished, the novelty is wearing off. Quick.

To Wit: Contary to the old saying that what you don't know won't hurt you, That what you don't know can and will hurt you very badly.

There are days when I want to just put my blinders on, go do my job, come home and close off the world. Just go about my business.

Yet, there is that part of me I can't ignore that says exactly what you said, that if I shut out Rush, Free Republic, Townhall, and what is going on in the world, then I feel unprotected.
