“Good grief! After reading the first fifty posts, I am pissed to say the least. Instead of encouraging Sen. Cornyn in order to get others to follow suit, many are bent on doing the Democrats work by discouraging him. We don’t need a conservative litmus test for someone to oppose Obama. We need every willing and available man and woman. Get your heads out of your asses.”

Exactly. And some went as far as calling Cornyn “socialist light” and claiming there is no difference between him and the Democrats — and all this in the name of “conservatism”. People like that are exactly the problem, they contributed to the Dems taking over Congress in 2006 and Obama’s election and the Dems’ gaining even fuller control of Congress in 2008. They are more interested in seeing Republicans defeated, who don’t meet their impossible litmus test, than to defeat the Democrats. They are constantly attacking Republicans, but don’t attack Democrats and fail to see (or this is just an excuse) that when Republicans are defeated, DEMOCRATS win.

Maybe you should re-read my comment. It is #6.

I don't recall posting he was 'socialist light' or any other derogatory remarks.

I just stated a fact. Every time we lose elections it is because those running are not running on a Conservative platform or ran on a Conservative platform in a prior election and then turned around and became RINO's when they reached D.C..

They need to wake up and smell the roses and stop listening (bending over and grabbing their ankles) to the MSM and the Democrats. We the voters are tired of their two faced games.

I really wish you hadn't drawn me into this empty debate as I didn't post anything to you.

You do seem bent on attacking conservatives and conservative principles and I don't really understand why.

Tick told you how he "voted" in the past, recent elections and while I have no responsibility to tell you, I will. Donated money first election to GW and voted for him twice; voted for Cronyn each election he stood for; even voted for McCain (against Obama).

Your desire in keeping criticism of Republicans mute, especially from folks that are here and self proclaimed conservatives is suspect at best. It makes one assume you wish principled Constitutional Conservatives would just sit down and shut up or leave, as I an Tick have, the party. Well you and those like you in the GOP have succeeded beyond your wildest dreams as more and more principled conservatives have left the GOP in the past 10 years than have joined, obviously.

All Tick, others, and self did was criticize John for his especially dumb vote for the bailout. And then we pointed out that until Republicans come home to roost on conservative principles they will continue to loose.

My only concern is for the Republic and definitely not the Republicans! And if you somehow read into that support for the Democrats then you do indeed have a problem that we won't solve in any amount of discourse or debate.
