About damn time someone in Congress woke up.

Yep. Rep. Zach Wamp (RINO) from the 3rd Congressional District of Tennessee came out this week on a local radio program in Chattanooga doing a mea culpa about his vote in the affirmative on the TARP funds. Despite overwhelming opposition amongst his constituents before the vote, he voted for the TARP bailout anyway. Typical Wamp fence riding. Now, he's having second thoughts since he's recently announced he intends to run for Governor of Tennessee in 2010.

Something tells me that we're going to see a lot more of these mea culpas in the coming weeks. I, for one, won't be fooled when the primaries come around in 2010. You either have conservative principles or you don't. There are no do-overs in my book.....particularly when your ill conceived vote cost the nation upwards of a trillion dollars that we don't have to spend...

Exactly, there is no middle ground in being a Conservative, you either are one and stand by your Conservatism or you don't and are a RINO.
