Completely unfair to the musicians.
1. It was extremely cold outside. Try working your fingers correctly at 20-degrees.
2. It was extremely cold outside. Try getting a wood instrument to tune correctly in those temps.
And, they were playing, but it wasn’t their music that was pumped over the PA.
This stuff happens all the time.
There is no grassy knoll.

THe One could, and should, have moved the ceremony inside like Reagan did. Of course then the pompousness wouldn’t have been evident for all to see, so that really wasn’t an option.

Right you are! I read something this morning in which Aretha said that the cold had really affected her voice when she sang, God Bless America on Tuesday. However on a smoother note, the milliner who created her hat, is being inundated with requests for it.
