The ACU ratings are goofy, using a few selective votes (often multiple ones on same issue), and sometimes grading big-government positions as "correct" ones. It no longer is a reliable measure.

Shall we go over each of the ACU's 2007 rated votes for Gillabrand?

The last time I went through such an exercise for some other politician (I forget who it was), the ACU rating seemed accurate.

IF this does prove out, then it is about the best you could hope for. Getting a national Dem that is strongly pro-gun and anti-bailout out of New York is a wonder of wonders.

She’s probably liberal on tax/spend and some social issues, but, I’ll take what I can get right now.
