Caroline Kennedy tonight withdrew her name from consideration to replace Hillary Clinton in the U.S. Senate after learning that Gov. David Paterson wasn't going to choose her, The Post has learned.
Kennedy's decision removes the highest-profile name in the ring to step into Clinton's now-vacant seat, as she departs after getting confirmed today as President Obama's Secretary of State.
Sources said the reason Paterson had decided not to tap the daughter of John F. Kennedy was her poor performances in media interviews and in in private sessions with various officials.

As the saying goes:
It is better to remain silent and be thought of as a fool, then to open ones mouth and dispel all doubt.
Not that Ms. Kennedy had to open her mouth to dispel all doubt, but she sure solidified it.

Maybe we can trick him into appointing a Republican by placing him in a position where, when he reaches forward to fell the candidate, he'll think it's a Democrat.
Because, you see, the Republican mascot is an elephant.... Aw, screw you guys!

And to think, she had lunch with the Revrund Al Sharpton at Sylvia's, in Harlem and she actually 'ate.' Who sez she really didn't want it?

Sources said the reason Paterson had decided not to tap the daughter of John F. Kennedy was her poor performances in media interviews...So the bottom line is that Kennedy would not have helped (and may have even hurt) the Democratic Party therefore she was not selected. The public polling just didn't hold up for the Dems. Qualifications and service to the country were just after thoughts.

I was rooting for her. I’d rather have a bumbling, dumber-than-a box-of-rocks leftist in the senate than a cunning, intelligent one.
To: PennsylvaniaMom
How charitable of her to patronize the common folk and condescend to nibble on ghetto food. Did she try the wine in a box, or throw back some Colt 45?
Power to the people, sistah.

I could be wrong...but...I see Hillary fingerprints just all over this. The Kennedy's collectively hoisted the pertard of Obama dissing Senator Clinton bigtime. Infact, the Clintonista's may blame the Kennedy's for Hillary's loss...so, do we think Madame Secretary of State wants her seat (yes, it is her seat) just handed to the infidel Schlossssssssburg? Maybe Hil (and Bil) think a 'placemarker' should be 'tapped' so that the Clinton seat can go to the next generation of Hubbel, errr, Clintons--Chelsea? I think she would have had an easier time (and gotten alot of sympathy) if Mrs. Schlossssssssburg had tried for Uncle Teddy's seat instead (unless Teddy has one of his offspring--are they all out of jail?--at the ready to fill his seat).

Sources said she was the for sure pick. At the same time sources said she wasn’t going to get it.
This explains why sources are never wrong.
