Caroline Kennedy has told Gov. Paterson that she is withdrawing her name from consideration to replace Hillary Clinton in the U.S. Senate, The Post has learned.

Dicker reports that Patterson decided against the Princess of Camelot after watching her interviews, after her mediocre performance with staff interviewers, and after the outry of public opinion in NY.
Will it now be Andrew “evil eyes” Cuomo? That would be the smart move for Patterson. Get him out of the way for his run for Governor

She probably figured that New York was too much to take on, and she’s going to hold out for her uncle’s seat in Massachusetts when he dies.

It wouldn’t matter if Paterson appointed a fire hydrant to take that seat. As long as it’s a Democratic fire hydrant, there is no way any Republican would unseat it in 2010, or 2012, or 2014, or 20.... You get the picture. New York is lost for good, and so is Illinois; and so are a good dozen other states.
Maybe Paterson will name himself.
