Michelle’s yellow brocade-looking suit with the diamond-effect collar was inappropriate for an early day event.
Her girlish white formal is more appropriate for a warm midsummer’s night presentation ball for the debutante daughters of local Rotary Club members....not for mid-winter.

How could two fashion selections be SO wrong in just one day?

She sat up straight, gorgeous woman. Her daughter must have been an incredible disappointment to her.

It’s this wonderful southern wit and understatement that makes me love these threads :-)

I said on a different thread today that my Sainted Mother, GRHS, would have swooned at the sight of the First Lady parading down the street on live TV... in SEQUINS DURING THE DAYLIGHT HOURS.

I thought she looked like she was doing the "walk of shame" that girls did in college when they "hooked up" on a Friday night, and then had to walk to the dorm room on Saturday morning wearing evening party attire.

Ah, ladies, reading your thread makes me miss my Mother... a Southerner, a lady to her fingertips, and the finest person I've ever known.
