"Most peanut butter sold in jars at supermarkets appears to be safe, officials said."

As I said in a comment to an earlier story containing almost this exact same non-statement of reassurance; that answers all my questions.

Huh. I have some too in the pantry. Been there awhile. I can’t find any # or time frame for the recalled ones. O/T but I have to be careful buying these things. I love peanut butter and jelly but they have a cracker that is packaged similarly. Those things....yuk!

I eat the Austin Toasty Crackers with peanut Butter all the time. I had some yesterday before I knew of this. I’ll risk eating the rest in the package since I didn’t get sick yesterday.

I may have saved my brother's life.

He had bought a big pack of Austin PB Crackers at SAM's and no idea about the recall.

Smucker’s Natural Crunchy Peanut Butter: peanut butter just doesn’t get any better than that.

Smucker’s Natural Crunchy Peanut Butter

I prefer their smooth, but that's just me.

Freepers,

This may well be my last post before I go to that great internet site in the sky, for you see, I injested a copious amount of peanut butter today, yea, this very morning for breakfast, I took in my not formerly nicotene stained fingers, the very bastion of brown death which was mixed with honey, oatmeal, rice krispies and raisins, otehrwise known as peanut butter balls.

At great risk to my future and that of my family, I allowed the brown plague to bypass my teeth, slide past my tongue, down my very throat and into the dark recesses of my stomach, wherein the calumny of posions will begin it’s wicked course through my veins.

My FRiends, I bid you a fond farewell.

Unless I survive, as I fully intend to do until tomorrow when the gamble with my very life begins yet again.

fortunately, it appears that the girl scout cookies on sale now are not contaminated, so anyone in the lansing area (hint hint grellis) who wants to buy cookies is safe. :)

As long as GS is still marketing Samoas, just tell me when and where. I'll take 5 boxes of those. Probably some pecan sandies.

I'm not kidding! They don't do cookie sales anywhere around me.
