I am thinking about the hassle to get from the Mall to watch the Parade. Barriers will be considered optional for some attendees.
The National Guard is on Pennsylvania Avenue. I do not remember that they were needed for either of the Bush Inaugural Parades that I attended.
Amen. As they were coming across from Independence onto the mall, folks in the crowd were pleading for them to stop...no luck.
