I was surprised but a big lib in my office said he was disappointed in the speech and thought that it did not rise to the level it needed to and that it took too many pot shots at President Bush. Oh well.

It was like watching the last helicopter leave Saigon.
I’d like to thank Laura Bush for her years of service, and for her grace and class. She will be missed.
Officers who were going to dispatch to the injured officer can’t leave their location because of the crowds.
They’re boxed in.
Most of what I have heard on the scanner is TBE with the crowd size, location, weather, etc.
Complete gridlock on Inependence and tempers are starting to get hot.
They had to shut part of it down earlir today after someone fell. Now something else?

I couldn’t get the police scanner to work but am listening to the fire department scanner. is that what you guys are listening to?
:) My house is the same- hop around to different scanners pretty often.
Sounds like there’s a DC officer down (unsure of cause) and the EMTs can’t get to him because of the traffic and pedestrian crowds...
Anything major will be moved to a private channel.
