Perhaps- but did Powell mention how many are NOT re-upping? I know many of my son’s buddies who were waiting to see how the election went- they are due to re-up in Feb. Not ONE of them is staying. These are guys who have been through combat in Iraq and Afghanistan- and would have stayed if McC were elected. Bringing in new recruits is terrific- keeping seasoned soldiers is crucial.

It will be interesting to see the demographics of all of these new recruits. Especially since Bush and Congress repealed the Posse Comitatus Act.
