Absolutely, I'm wondering if there are two transcripts somewhere... and there are two out there... one with the facts and the other put out by Suttons office and picked up by the press and the libs.
There was a lot evidence released AFTER the trial...after Congress subpaenoed the DOJ, DEA, and DHS for all evidence and info related to the case. The Feds tried hard to stall any release of evidence
That evidence showed that R & C did not fail to report the incident to their superiors...as their supervisors were there on the scene and told the two to pick up their shells. Also, the evidence showed that Aldrete-Davila was busted later, while on his immunity deal (with free border entry passes), hauling another 1/2 ton of pot.
The crux with the whole trial was that R & C were not allowed to introduce the SECOND A-D drug bust into the trial...which would have totally discredited A-D testimony (he claimed he was not a “drug dealer”...just needed money for his mom).
Their conviction was a travesty....and theirs was not the first of questionable cases pushed by Johnny Sutton against law enforcement dealing with illegal aliens.
