WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President-elect Barack Obama's message of hope sent his approval ratings soaring to unprecedented levels, so it's no wonder that companies such as Pepsi, Ikea and Saturn want to cash in on Obama's brand power at his Tuesday inauguration.
But the link is also a political risk that may not be worth it.
"If you're associating yourself with the inauguration, you're implicitly endorsing the president-elect, who is a Democrat," said Paul Argenti, a corporate communications professor at Dartmouth University's Tuck School of Business. "The chances of angering the rest of the population are pretty high."

Agree....but as a show, it is still good...it’s OTA, not subscription, not DVD.

No kidding. For the last 8 years (and before)all the liberal/progressives could do is moan about how evil Republicans are because they get corporate donation and how evil corporations are because they donate to Republicans. But even in the last 8 years they had a "buyblue" website that told people to buy from certain companies because they donated to the Democrats. The hypocrisy of liberals is mind boggling.
