Obviously it’s not a Norwegian Blue...those are pretty quiet from what I hear...
We have an eight year old bull terrier. Since the weather has turned much colder we found his coat that he hasn’t worn since last winter. We put it on him (inside) to adjust the straps then took it off and set it aside. A day or two later my wife is sitting at her computer in the family room and she hears our BT dragging something across the kitchen area hardwood floor. He prances around the corner and into the family room dragging his winter coat. He deposits it at her feet then looks up at her with his ‘I’m ready to go for a walk’ expression. These little guys are waaay too smart ...
Ooooooo. Tag line material.
Me likey, me takey!
Glad to oblige! :)
A friend of mine was married years ago to a young woman that had an African Grey parrot. As he described it... the most obnoxious thing on the planet. Constantly running it’s yap. Shortly after the wedding they also obtained a large dog (lab mix) and then an adopted cat.
My friend would wait until the wife was away and would open the bird cage to let the bird crawl out and up to the top of the cage. Then he would start teaching the bird a couple of new words... “here kitty! here kitty!”
Cute story. What the hell is this "partner" crap? Do they run a plumbing shop together, or some thing like that? The Lone Ranger and Tonto were partners. Or is this polite-speak for shacked-up?
Yes it is a euphemism for living together out of wedlock. And I am glad that someone still thinks its "crap".
I don’t have the magazine handy but I believe it was the January issue of Discover magazine. The article was on a famous African gray parrot at Harvard who just died. He was the subject of numerous experiments to outline the parameters of animal intelligence. There were 10 or 12 things that this one cooperative bird did that were pretty remarkable. The researchers name is Irene Pepperberg and the birds name was Alex. There is a lot of information online and videos of this bird.
I like your tag line.
Just trying to figure out what reward the bird gets from the dog, for being duped into believing "mistress is calling me". Of course there's the bird's own pleasure in duping the dumb dog I suppose.
Hmmm I get Discover, I may not have finished that issue yet (I get several magazines and it takes me awhile to digest them all!) I’ll check it out, I’m always interested in learning and especially animal training. Thanks!
LOL I”m not sure. He may enjoy watching the dog’s response. I don’t know exactly what turns birds on.
Thanks. It keeps me out of trouble.
