That is a far cry from the “pig-sex orgy” touted in graphic detail by the “Americans for Truth” (or some such) on their web-site.
The whole “organized gay orgy at DC hotel” thing sounds like alarmist crap to me.
That kind of stuff may go on in, and even be popular in, the hotels in certain California cities, but I do not think it would go over too well around here, even in DC.
Of course, I could be wrong.
I doubt they promoted the show that way, even though a reading
of the official site suggest the event is likely to be wild.

Are you asserting those chairs and hammocks are only for display, or that they’re not going to be at the hotel?
(And if you think they’re only for display, have you ever seen any of the footage of what goes on at the Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco? Even if the stated purpose is that they’re on display, can you really picture them busting people for indecency? And if not, can you picture the Folsom Street crowd NOT using them, even if they are officially only for display?)
