Sen. Inhoffe needs to be involved here so that things don’t get too out of hand. His report in December with over 600 real scientists suggests appropriately that global warming is not happening and that man has no influence on climate.

It is called cap and trade. Companies that produce carbon will have to buy credits that will be passed on to the consumer. Basically this time next year if it passes, natural gas will double in price and coal produced electric which is about 70% of our electric will triple in price. Everything that travels to the store by truck will have the added on tax of cap and trade. Yes it is a hoax and will put most of us unable to afford the basicas anymore.
——perhaps this is part of the plan———
the Cloward-Piven Strategy seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.

We have more coal than Saudi Arabia has oil; the Democrats are trying to ban coal, even in “clean” coal plants.
We have oil resources that would make us a primary oil producer instead of the primary oil receiver; the Democrats won't allow drilling.
The domestic and world economies are powered by carbon fuels; the Democrats want to penalize us and others for using carbon fuels.
We deserve everything coming our way.

You hear that, Mother Nature? You’ve finally met your match in a Democrat from Congress.

Waxman is the most colossal totalitarian tool in the House.
An evil and hideously ugly creature, by any measure.
To: Sammy67
With the advent of the breakthrough ugly-powered generator, Waxman can heat and cool west of the Rockies; Helen Thomas, east.
But hurry up with the fix for global warming--another weather bureau warning of lethal wind chills.

Yea they want it quick so now that we are entering a cool period they can take credit for it with this cap n trade law. Then when the economy suffers from it they will then blame it on republicans and/or other groups they do not like.

The difference is that in the past the strong socialist takeovers have also needed a military force to quell uprisings. Obama won't have that. Once energy costs start exponentially rising, many voters who view him as a curiosity (or vehicle of positive change) will turn on him, and I imagine he won't have had the time to consolidate his power enough to stop a political or military coup. The democrats in the Senate are already usurping his wishes by seating Burris. Obama is little more than bells and whistles; if things really start to go south, he doesn't have the popular or political support needed to destroy our system of government.

You cant blame him for that. He’s putting out as much hot air as he can!
To: Sammy67
When he gets done with that, he can take care of that nasty problem where Pi is an irrational number. Just pass a law to make Pi = 3, it will work just as well as passing laws to control the climate.
