I took in feral kittens almost 14 years ago.

(I had an old Tom Cat -brought his girlfriend home - she took off, left him with the kids)

One is still living. They hated me all this time, (I am the one who fed them) but loved my grandmother. Before she died, one slept on her head, one on her feet.

They ran and hid from everyone else.
I named them Hiss and Spit for a reason. I still have Spit, he stayed the wildest of the two

That's great you get them fixed. Please be careful with those FELV/FIV tests....there are many false positives esp for the younger cats. A cat with FIV can live a long happy life.....

Many factors affected prehistoric man’s lifespan ... lack of sanitation. predators, infectious disease, etc. Paradoxically, low carb high protein diets (meat eggs cheese etc) result in more weight loss and improved lipid profiles.

OTOH, if Rush is smoking cigarettes, then THAT is his no. 1 health risk - no doubt about it. As for exercise, I’m reminded of the words of Mark Twain (died at age 86), “Everytime I feel the urge to exercise, I sit down until it goes away.”

Rush is comparing press coverage over the inaugural costs now and Pres. Bush’s second term. Shoot. Pres. Bush couldn’t get a break from the media. Spending the money earned thoughts as to on what the money could have been “better” spent. But suppose he had simply taken the oath and continued business as usual? Articles then would have been written about the caterers and hoteliers, etc. who would have suffered from the loss of business.

The media is so predictable. Anything RAT = good. Anything conservative = bad.
