“If he governs to the right, he will pick up enough conservative votes to add to those he got this last time around...”

It’s funny you should mention this. I was perusing through a local bookstore recently, and I found a book written by the lickspittles at NBC (”How Barack Obama Won: A State-by-State Guide to the History 2008 Election”). While the commentary is enough to make you barf, the data they provide is very enlightening.

One thing that struck me as interesting was that, overall, 13% of Republicans voted for Obama. In contrast, only 7% of Democrats voted for McCain.

One could argue, actually, that it was that not-inconsequential minority of Republicans who put Obama over the top. Ain’t that a kick in the shins?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I couldn't believe it when I heard that stat (or one like it). But it reminded me that the audience for Limbaugh and the members of FR don't make up all conservatives, and there are plenty of people who consider themselves conservatives who don't come here, but do watch the alphabet network news.

Sigh...
