Clinton acted on concerns of husbands donors

Secretary of State appointee Hillary Rodham Clinton intervened at least six times in government issues directly affecting companies and others that later contributed to her husband's foundation, an Associated Press review of her official correspondence found.
The overlap of names on former President Bill Clinton's foundation donor list and business interests whose issues she championed raises new questions about potential ethics conflicts between her official actions and her husband's fundraising. The AP obtained three of the senator's government letters under the Freedom of Information Act.
Clinton was to begin her confirmation hearing Tuesday before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
Under an agreement with President-elect Barack Obama, Bill Clinton recently released the names of donors to his foundation, a nonprofit that has raised at least $492 million _ including millions from foreign governments _ to fund his library in Little Rock, Ark., and charitable efforts worldwide on such issues as AIDS, poverty and climate change.
The letters and donations involve pharmaceutical companies and telecommunications and energy interests. An aide to the senator said she made no secret of her involvement in many of the issues. Bill Clinton's foundation declined to say when it received the donations or precisely how much was contributed.

Castle Grande? Cattle Futures? Who hired Craig Livingstone? Travelgate?
I wish someone had the balls, this may be the only chance...
I am absolutely shocked at this revelation. She’s a Democrat, and we all know they don’t do these sort of things.
How about overt ethics conflicts?!
If I see one more picture of her posing as a ‘politician’, I will throw up.
She and her ‘husband’ are two of the most venal, self-serving and morally/ethically deformed miscreants that any society EVER produced... and we're stuck with them.
You don’t say!

Google search: “Clinton + “Ethics” = 4,290,000 hits, and with good reason. One of these days, one of their shenanigans might actually get them in trouble.
Drudge will be on her “list” for using that lovely photo of her.
So how is this different from what Blago did, well for starters he got caught.
Like with the chief shuck and jive act, who is a crook and a liar, one word you will never associate with a Democrat and that is ‘character’.
Oh PLEASE let her be humiliatingly grilled during the confirmation hearings until the Big O withdraws her from contention!! (I can dream, can’t I?)
I have one friend of 43 years who claims I am the only Republican she knows. She just does not see what is happening, plus she is a lifelong Chicago resident.
I just don't understand, as I am too young or unconnected or principled. I like to think the latter.
Other than that, how do you feel about her? ;o
“the Big O withdraws her from contention”
My guess is, he’s had someone in the wings since the day he asked her (probably before).
Everything he’s done with his Cabinet picks has been to calm his followers and the people who didn’t vote for him.
My prediction has been that these people who are more center-of-the-road will be out in a year - they’re window dressing.
Unfortunately she will slide through ,slicker than an eel. Our Republican “friends” cant wait to show how bi-partisan they ar by kissing her ring.(and her fat butt).
It’s a lost cause. She could be sleeping with poodles and sacrificing to Baal and she would still get the job. The fix is in on this one too.
Hillary was only chosen to quiet her voters who were still making a lot of noise after the election. They’ve been quieted.
He doesn’t care whether she makes it thru or not.
I wonder if this was Obama’s plan? Think about it: How to get rid of Hillary without bringing the wrath of her supporters onto himself?
Answer: Appoint her and let the vetting process do the dirty work.
If so, ya’ gotta give him credit for smart politics.
I never thought that I would see O.J. pay but now he is.Perhaps there is hope that justice will catch up with these two.
