I went back and read some of the earlier articles on this case.
If this had occurred in the United States (outside California or Massachusetts, at any rate) I don’t think ANY charges would have been brought against this girl in the first place; never mind going to trial.
Her MOTHER, now.... THAT’S another story. It’s pretty clear she knew EXACTLY what was going on.
Where did you find the earlier articles on this. I’d be very interested in reading something about her Mother. It seems very peculiar to me that there is no mention of the Mother in this article. What the hell was she doing when this was going on?
Care to back up the comparison with actual facts or statistics or do you just take opportunistic license to slam on other peoples' home states making spurious comments such as that?
Yeah, yeah CA is a "blue" state, but that doesn't mean every person living here is a lib or would even consider the act of eradicating a pos like this as something akin to a crime.
No reply necessary, I pretty much know the answer.

Its a sad one all the way around. I’m reminded of the cases of an abused wife shooting the husband. Those pop-up every once in a while.
You're probably right. Even if the killing did not technically fall under self-defense, I can't see a prosecutor putting this in front of a jury. All the defense needs is a couple of people on the jury who believe (rightfully so, IMO) that the "victim" here was a waste of oxygen.
