Ron Paul makes it clear that he is against the referendum because he is being intellectually consistent in being against all foreign entanglements even if they involve Israel.

Too bad for him there is that pesky little thing called the Constitution that says that all treaties are to be considered the high law of the land and we have a mutual defense treaty with Israel.

Yep, that's sure enough going to come back to bite us in the ass under nobama. I can't believe anyone would think that UN treaties should supercede the Constitution.
