...but a black man taking the oath of office is certainly a historical event.

But, but, he is only half black. Does thta mean it's only half historic? Or that we are only half way to a post-racial era?

I know he’s half black and you know he’s half black, but the custom of this country is to consider half black=black. I have never understood this, and yes it is a historic event. I don’t like Obama, but where else in the world would this be possible but in America? It says something about our country. We are always painted as a racist country by basically racist countries...in your face...Europe etc.
