Ann Coulter Makes Stab At Single Motherhood In Controversial New Book

Uber conservative political commentator and author, Ann Coulter, is drumming up controversy among the masses with her new book Guilty: Liberal Victims and Their Assault on America.

The gist of her book? Liberals "playing victim" when she believes them to be the actual "victimizers."

With anything Coulter has her hand in, this latest installment is sure to get tempers flaring, especially among single mothers.

Monday night Coulter appeared on Fox News Channel's Hannity & Colmes.

Tuesday morning Coulter made a controversial appearance on NBC's Today Show (after her originally scheduled appearance was cancelled.)

In both appearances, Coulter's lastest stabs at single motherhood were discussed.

Alan Colmes quoted Coulter's book, "Single motherhood is like a farm team for future criminals and social outcasts."

And finally, "We have a term for youngsters involved, the 'children of divorce,' or as I call them, 'future strippers.'"

Coulter reverted her argument about single motherhood back to what she believes to be our country's recent "hatred" of the institution of marriage and made mention of Hollywood's promotion of single motherhood.

It’s ironic you quote someone considered an immoral rake in his time. Wasn’t Lord Byron an atheist?

I see exactly what you see. Of the juvenile delinquents I’ve defended in the last two years, maybe only 5% come from intact nuclear families (and those tend to be substance abuse cases, where there is often a genetic predisposition).

Children of divorced parents are full of anger and resentment, they hate that their parents divorced, and typically blame one as being “wrong.” They do less well in school, and tend toward substance abuse issues.

Children of unwed mothers never had a real chance of success. They have no conscience, no remorse, and no souls. There is no reaching them because there was no teaching them. It also becomes multi-generational. I once prosecuted a mother who had 8 kids, all by different fathers. I’m now defending one of her daughters, who has two illegitimate children of her own.

The sad cases are the kids who lost a parent to premature death of one parent. The surviving parent rarely gets over their own grief, and so they make even less effective parents. The kids never get over the loss of the parent, and cannot cope with the ineffectiveness of the surviving parent. I’ve seen several of them who really just don’t care about life.

The real problem with bastard children isn’t that there are bastard children, it is that we are subsidizing them.

What we have is a government “command economy” in illegitimate children. The welfare state has created an artificial unlimited demand for illegitimate children. By applying simple laws of economics, it logically follows that we have an unlimited supply of them. And they are useless. Absolutely useless.

The majority of the time, Ann is interviewed with a liberal - to be 'fair' - or interviewed by a liberal. When this occurs she is constantly interrupted as they try to knock her off her game. And you can always tell when she won the argument - it's when the liberal changes the subject.

Go to MarkLevinshow.com and listen to his interview of Ann from this Tuesday. He lets her talk and explain herself. That may change your opinion of her.

That kind of thinking, sirs, is one of the reasons we lost the last election. If many more conservatives would be as intelligent, educated and fearless as Ann Coulter we might be able to recapture America from the enemies who are about to take over and change our country forever. On the other hand maybe we shouldn’t take the chance of offending them just because they wish to destroy us.

Not knowing that I didn’t call any names isn’t too intelligent either.

She is berating ALL single mothers, even the ones who try to do their best at raising their chioldren. THAT is what is wrong, and if you cannot see that, then I cannot help you.

If I cannot see that it may be that it that is not what is being said but only being assumed by you. That is your problem.

These women have been having babies over & over in their families for over 50 years. We keep supporting Grandma, her daughter & her daughter & sometimes a forth daughter. I have yet to see anyone try to put a stop to this. The only way to fix the problem is take the baby away & put it up for adoption or put it in foster care. The child might have a chance then. I can see supporting this type of program. Help the child financially & mom is on her own. I know everyone will say you can’t take the baby from mom but that is what should be done so the kid has a chance.

The other strange thing about my friend?
He isn’t sure he was “born” this way.

He thinks relationship with daddy might have something to do with it.

My friend pointed out that there are so many women and men who seek same sex relationships because of “some guy”—whether it's their father or what. He pointed out he's yet to run into a gay man who's gay “because some chick drove him to it.”

She is a terrible representative for the Conservative cause. She may be right on most things, but she alienates alot of people just by what she says, including me Agreed!!!

Ann, You can't have it both ways, whats it going to be? Single mothers or aborted children?

A Single woman becomes pregnant and decides to raise the kid on her own.

Or A single woman becomes pregnant and decides to have an abortion so she doesn't have to raise the kid, yet alone on her own.

Considering a good amount of people are single mothers, and some are definitely Republicans, this comment does not help the cause at all, and IMO just plays into the liberal media's hands.

As for Ann personally, On one hand I want to defend Ann from the stupid liberal media attacks, on the other hand I wish she would STFU.
