That number is a little surprising. I'd expect to see more of the younger generation of soldiers being okay with gays in the military.
Maybe this whole thing will resolve itself in a generation or two if the majority of soldiers decide that it's a non-issue. People in the military aren't immune changing societal trends, after all.
