Don't give up on Newt he's really been perfectly consistent since 1990 that I know of.
His problem is that he is an 80/20 conservative.
80% of the time he is brilliant. Contract with America etc. etc.energy initiatives,ideas etc. etc.
The other 20% of the time he just goes crazy trying to appease libs and you want to hide under the nearest bed.
But that's just Newt! He's always been that way.
