So she went to a school in Oklahoma until first grade then where did she go?
The family travelled to OK, TX, CA and back to KS before they arrived in Seattle in 1955. While in CA Stanley took classes at UC while Madelyn audited courses. Of course, Stanley’s schooling was paid courtesy of the GI Bill. This link to an article tells of some of their travels.
Take your pick from various states they were in before they returned to KS in the early 50’s. They were in OK, TX, CA, KS then WA before finally settling down in HI. They were in KS for approximately a year prior to the move to WA. UC at Stanford may say when Madelyn and Stanley were there, I do know they noted Madelyn attended but didn’t graduate. Madelyn also took some courses at UW.
