The fault lines are to the Northwest of where the earthquakes are centered.

Could this mimic Mt. St. Helen, where the eruption was actually a side vent?

St Helens was a mountain volcano that blew out the side of a mountain. Yellowstone itself isn’t a mountain, the caldera is actually the valley floor.
