The reason Pres. Johnson was impeached was because he wanted to heal the divisions with the South...unlike Congress which did in fact want to hang certain high ranking confederates...Johnson was acquitted in the Senate by one vote-a GOP vote believe it or not. Anyone taking up arms against this country will be tried for treason and murder if it comes to that...which is exactly what should happen. In this country we get our views manifested in government by winning elections.

Yes. Its much more manly to lay down and let the DC elite run us around like a bunch of trained dogs. We will never get those scum out of power now. They own us.

I think we will have a chance. It may take a while though. I used to really like Sarah, but there are some things I don’t like. She passes a windfall tax on oil companies. Her state rakes in federal money hand over fist. I’m worried she may be a female George Bush-talks the conservative talk, but does not walk the walk.

The way this man of whom I speak explained it, and he would explain it to young blacks starting businesses that he was helping, if others, particularly whites, perceive a business as being about 40% black, they begin to abandon patronizing it if the business emphasizes its blackness in any nationalistic way.

It is a counterpart to the fact that, with the mainstream media’s obsessions and stereotypical obsessions, it puts a great deal of focus on blacks in the minority in a school environment not having their cultural identity submerged but pays no attention to the quite often more severe cultural oppression of whites and other non-blacks in a majority black school, so that the identity of those in the minority in a majority black environment is more damaged than the other way around.

“In this country we get our views manifested in government by winning elections.”

That was before the days of the enemedia, and ACORN rigging elections as they just did.

How else did we end up with a America hating marxist with a resume small enough to fit on a 3 square inch post-it note with no questions asked?

On what basis do you make that claim? When the only thing binding the country is the threat of force, than we have attained the same stature as the Soviet Union.

The Northeast and the Southwest are no longer culturally bound together even on essential matters of mores and philosophy. Personally, I want nothing to do with the socialistic leanings and secular humanism of the north. Aside from that, Texas has had to endure more than its share of Federal attacks on its sovereignty (notwithstanding the ninth and tenth amendments.).

New York is particularly noteworthy for foisting its hideous worldview on the rest of the country.

Incidentally, Texas can survive without the rest of the union, though I’m not sure how the rest would fare without Texas.

SC is one of those states that gets more back then it pays in taxes.

So does "your" home state of Ohio b-boy, and many other states.

Federal tax revenues include individual, corporate, social and gift. Obviously, the states with the wealthiest people and highest income per capita, along with highest populations will send the most money to DC. States in this category are primarily the wealthy, liberal NE states like NY, NJ, MA, CT, etc.

States with a combination of lower incomes, lower populations, less corporate hq's, and higher pct of retirees will always come out in a 'net plus' ranking.

States that fall into the latter category will be primarily the rural southern states like AL, MS, TN, WV...also states like NM, ND, SD, MT, HI, AK.

A more telling ranking is the unfiltered amount of federal funds per state / per capita...that eliminates the bias of average income and population. Here you will find wealthy liberal states like CT and MD in the Top 10 and MA at #13...and poor conservative states like SC at #27. Other southern states like FL at #28, AR at #29, NC at #35, TX at #38, GA at #41.

bronxboy you are not a conservative nor any resemblance of one, but clearly a very clever disruptor able to disguise yourself for 4 years.

Everyone should read his/her posting history on his/her home page and decide for yourself.

No it doesn’t actually...the 2007 figures indicate, they get less back. However, Ohio doesn’t have Senators that decry bailout and act all conservative...when clearly there state is not conservative. I say you should be able to pay for your own state with your tax money; quit taking ours.

If you think splitting up this country is an option because people don’t share your views...you are insane. Believe me, you don’t speak for me or many other conservatives. Try taking up arms against your country and you will suffer the same fate most traitors do...locked up for the rest of your life or perhaps that of the Rosenbergs because truly you are no different. A traitor is a traitor period. Hopefully, you will come to your senses soon. By the way what you say sounds like a Weather Underground manifesto...you know the ones who bombed Macy’s in the 70’s.

This election was not stolen-would that it were. We could put the guilty in jail and move on. This election was a repudiation of the GOP and conservatism. Even Palin couldn’t save the day. You can not have your ideas used to govern if you can’t convince people you are right. We failed to do this.

After GWB, I now have that fear about all politicians. But at least with Sarah most of what we see we conservatives agree with....unlike every single DemocRat on the planet ...and especially Obama. Sarah is all about a strong national defense, fiscal responsibility and conservative policies (unlike her running mate...whatshisname).

You got no game, boy. Your own words make no sense...according to you to 'decry the bailout' is bad and to receive fed funds is bad.

We know all about you....you are no conservative, with no principals, only criticize, you're a disruptor and a phony.

You couldn't tell me why you're a conservative and what makes you a conservative...who you support and why...after all, the most important issue to you is defending your federal tax gravy train...not lowering taxes.

FYI...it was the SC Governor who decried the bailout...not the Senator...3 out of 4 Senators from SC and GA voted in favor of the original bill.

You got nothing, boy. You're a fish washed up on the beach...only a matter of time.

Yeah Sanford cooked his goose as far as becoming a presidential candidate. I am for the loan to the big three...I work for GM in management. Also, I think having a domestic auto industry is important to this country...not surprising.

As for the financial bailout. I don’t know if it was needed or not...Bush said the economy would crash without it. However, there certainly should be strings attached to the this bailout and there were none. Shelby ET AL were on TV decrying the bailout frequently. It’s going to hurt the GOP in swing states Like Ohio, Indiana etc. in 2012.

If you think taking up arms against your country for any reason is right then I am not your man. I consider this treason and has nothing to do with being a conservative.

I've read lots of posts from lots of people...where do you come off accusing me of that? This is why people do not trust you here...your M.O. is straight out of the lib playbook: attribute statements of others to those who did not say it, like when you attacked Sanford and defended your position by using Shelby's name, or infering that I would take arms against my own country when I was not even engaged in that discussion, or not answering direct questions to you, such as; who do you support and why, etc.

I and most others here are not buying what you are selling. You could take the opportunity to try and change some minds but you choose not to.
