Ah, the Greeks still holding a grudge about that David and Goliath thing, I see.

(The Philistenese were basically the Greek version of Vikings from the Isle of Crete, I believe.)

Hunh? I’ve done a number of Bible studies on Samuel and never ran across that particular line of thinking...

No, they weren’t. The Philistines were the inhabitants of southwest Caanan, or what is, ironically, the present-day Gaza Strip area, but also taking in Ashkelon.
