SWEET CAROLINE: I'M SET TO SERVE
NY Post ^ | December 27, 2008 | MAGGIE HABERMAN

Caroline Kennedy broke her silence with the start of a media blitz yesterday, defending her qualifications to replace Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and confidently saying she's up to the job.

Kennedy sat for half-hour interviews with The Associated Press and NY1 after two weeks in which the controlled rollout of her candidacy raised questions about her credentials.

The 51-year-old daughter of John F. Kennedy told NY1 last night, "There are many ways to serve. I think I have been serving my community up until now, and I think I'm ready to take the next step."

She added, "When this opportunity came along, it seemed like . . . I really ought to give it some thought. This is something that I've always thought, one day, in the future."

Later, she acknowledged, "I would be an unconventional choice - I haven't followed a traditional path, but I think I bring a lifetime of experience to this.

If she were a Republican, the MSM would have run her out of town with pitchforks and torches by now.

But she’s a Dem and a Kennedy, so let the coronation begin.

She won’t be asked a single, difficult question.

A “Listening Tour” will be more then enough for the MSM

Contrast this how a woman like Sarah Palin, someone with a record of reform and fiscal responsibility was treated by the MSM

And will the MSM trash Caroline’s relatives like they did to Palin?

There is more then enough material.

The MSM is once again showing their bias.

I hope they go broke.

The arrogance, the sense of entitlement -- will there never be an end to these Kennedys?

I'm from Syracuse, and I know what the folks up there think.

CK feeling entitled to a senate seat is almost as absurd as somebody thinking they are entitled to the presidency because of their skin color.Oh,wait....

The problem with the Kennedys is that their hair teeth sucks all of the nutrients and life from their brains.

There. Fixed it for ya.

Obama ... Franken ... CK-S ...

I remember when Martin frost moved to Texas to run for Congress, because there wasn't anywhere to “place” him in NY.

Why do Demoncrats continually send back room selected, blow dried and polished speechifiers to Congress?

Could it be that they are easily controlled by their masters?

No one expects CK-S and Franken to be anything but a gracious controlled vote for the Pelosi-Reid leadership.
