Lynn Chenny wrote a childrens book about this a few years go.

I bought it for my granddaughters.

I bought all of her children books about American History.

Her fitst book was titled A is for Abigal, it is about all of our coutries first ladies.

She does a great job.

This years book is about the Constitution.

All of her books are for young people.
The illus rations and art work are wonderful.

I agree, Mrs. Cheney’s books are wonderful! I read “When Washington crossed the Deleware” to my girls a couple years ago and I had tears streaming down my face at the end. Reading about the sacrifices these heroes made for us all was inspiring. I wish they would replace the boring textbook accounts with such beautifully written books about history and the birth of this great nation.
