Minn. Court Denies Coleman Suit on 'Duplicate' Votes @ 3:15 pm by Michael O'Brien

The Minnesota Supreme Court unanimously rejected a suit by Sen. Norm Coleman (R) on Wednesday that sought to prevent a state board from certifying election results Coleman had alleged includes errors.

In a 5-0 decision, the court ruled that the state's Board of Canvassers had the authority to certify election results that might have included so-called “duplicate ballots.”

The Coleman campaign had claimed that such ballots, created by local election officials to mirror original ballots that were somehow damaged, were sometimes counted twice by accident, and should not be included.

“Because the resolution of [Coleman’s]…is better suited to an evidentiary hearing and fact-finding, the decision of the State Canvassing Board…was not in error and the relief requested by [Coleman] is denied,” Associate Justice Alan C. Page wrote for the court.

The ruling deals a blow to the Republican’s campaign, which has sought to overcome the 46-vote lead Democratic challenger Al Franken has now secured in the hotly contested race.

I want to PUNISH Minnesota if this fiasco goes through. This is out-and-out voter fraud going on, and its being flaunted in our faces. I just wonder how much of this BS the American people will tolerate. I believe the Democrats are challenging their strength to see actually how much they can get away with, especially now. Americans are asleep at the wheel. Only a few of us are angry.

The MSM will be the demise of this country. Abortion and gay rights will bring down this country because they will give up everything else for those "rights."

The thing is, there’s no concrete evidence that this actually happened. That’s why the court rejected it. Coleman’s campaign is saying “well, it COULD have happened” and using that as an excuse to try to halt the process. I’m actually pretty upset right now, this is the kind of thing that I would have expected from a democRat. It’s kind of slimy...

This is the same thing that went on in Washington. They kept counting and “finding votes” until the Dim finally won. It would have gone on forever until they ponied up enough fraudualent votes. Now we call the governor, “Governor Fraudoir.”

I actually don’t think raising the issue in court was the slimy thing — it could be a legitimate issue (though the courts were probably ruled correctly that there isn’t enough evidence yet that this really happened). The slimy thing was that Coleman only selected a some districts to protest, most of which he won in the election.

If you’re going to protest the process claiming ballots were counted twice then you have to protest all of them, not just the ones where you think you might gain votes. Overall, there is no evidence that Coleman would gain any votes (and he could even lose more).

From some of the things Coleman has been saying (that he’s content whatever the outcome) it seems to me that he’s already resigned to losing.

Sounds like you have actually read the MN Supreme Court decision, unlike most of the posters today. I, too, have read it. The real story is that there will be a contested hearing on the ballots in question at a later date.

It appears this nation has indeed perished. We have a senate seat for sale in Illinois, the possible and highly likely senate appointment to continue the oligarchy (non-millionaires need not apply) in New York, and a puerile, so-called "comedian" stealing votes to "win" in Minnesota. This on the heels of a manufactured financial "crisis" which came about with the help of a group closely tied to the president-elect. Those are the only cockroaches that recently ventured out into the light; surely there are more of these vile, filthy creatures doing their political "business" secretively.

My solace and comfort is in Him, whose birth we celebrate tomorrow. I am thankful, knowing He is just.
