I get it: you don’t like Romney. I’m not a big fan of him either, but while you’re out there cursing the darkness, please go ahead and light a candle at the same time (get some ideas together). what is it you don’t like about Romney’s ideas? How about coming back with ideas you do like? Or at least critique Romney’s ideas with some thought behind it.

Here’s the thing. If all we are gonna do for the next 4 years is heckle from the back of the country, the GOP might as well hang it up as a political party. We better be out there putting our ideas up against the Dims’. Heckling without ideas to counter is just another way of giving up.

I’ll light a candle. I’ll light it for Ron Paul who, unlike Romney, OPPOSED the socialist billionaire bailout of the banks. If you don’t prefer Paul, pick any of the hundred of so Republicans who, again unlike Romney, stood firm against the bailout.

Right on, gal. But I afraid some of the FR are children that never grew up. Romney is right on with his suggestions. Something positive unlike the nitwits we have now. I surprises me how some small minds can harbor hate to the point that their minds are closed.

Mitt's "ideas" are a grab bag of mostly discredited old socialist nostrums. Tax cuts are necessary but would take months for their effect to be fully felt on the economy. The most dangerous and stupid of Mitt's recommendations are his call for the Fed to "continue to expand the money supply" and his zeal for "infrastructure projects" (pork) that "should be a high priority." This is absolutely indistinguishable from what the Big Zero has proposed. Naturally, Mitt wants to reform entitlement spending "as soon as the economy recovers," which is to say, never. Certainly, Mitt must remember the stagflation of the late 70's when that economic genius, Jimmy Carter, figured out how to have a recession and high inflation at the same time. I can only conclude that Mitt is either a fool or a dishonest phony who is pandering his worthless remedies for momentary political gain. Having observed him in action up close for 14 years now, I conclude that it is the latter.

As for your point about "heckling," I will continue to vocally oppose those politicians whose programs I disagree with and support those with which I am in agreement. Should the GOP hang it up as a party? After the socialism of W. and the debacle of McCain, perhaps it is time to pull the plug on it and start fresh from basic conservative principles.

The virulent Romney-haters are too obsessed with bitterness to come up with ideas.

They desperately cling to a few dumb comments he made 15 years ago, and are literally stuck in an orgy of bitterness as it relates to current political reality.

They are stuck on hatred, as Natl. Guard Gen. Russel Honore said.

(actually Gen. Honore used the term, "stuck on stupid"... but you get the point, I'm sure)
