The above fits the bill for the proverbial ‘accident waiting to happen.’

A law needs to be put in place to close this loophole that allows a candidate for President to get on a ballot on the say so of a ‘major’ party.

And I have absolutely no disagreement with that at all. But I would point out that the Democrats may have as many as 59 seats in the Senate and 250+ in the House. I believe such a bill should be introduced on a regular scheudule. Unfortunately the chances of such a bill getting through approach zero.
