He would be right if this were a country where all citizens pulled together to beat this financial crisis and rise above any challenges but, in the real world, that's no longer what this country is.
The sad truth is that the Democrats are plotting and scheming 24/7 how to take more of our money and freedom and the only thing that this "play nice" crap will do is to expedite their success in reaching those goals.
This is the case because, and this is important, they NEVER take the high road, they NEVER pull together for the sake of the country, and they NEVER put the people first.
So Newt's not right because his advice is to continue to bring a knife to a gunfight.
I think Newt is right also. Newt used to be my congressman. He is a conservative. With the economy in the tank, people losing their jobs and soon after a really bitter election. This is not the time to run such an ad. No one cares! Especially since it’s on tape that that Blao said ‘MF obama will only give us his appreciation.’ Fitzgerald has said repeatedly that no one in the Obama camp is a target.
I needed to get to the 20th post before I found someone saying what I am thinking; Newt is right. We do need to confront bad ideas by offering up conservative solutions. We won in 1994 by being the party of ideas. That is the message we need to put out. The anger and hatred is not a winning approach. I am a Happy Warrior and I love to enter the arena of debate, not stand on the sidelines and name call.
