T-shirt sends new Steelers message ('Yes, We Can!')
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette ^ | December 16, 2008 | L.A. Johnson

Lissa Brennan is co-creator of what she considers "the best Steelers T-shirt ever. EVER!!!"

She and friend Dan Rugh -- owner of CommonWealth Press on the South Side -- have combined the Warhol-esque style of the Obama "Hope" posters with the dashing good looks of Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin into one great T-shirt.

The black shirt, which is hand silk-screened in white and gold ink, features Coach Tomlin's face, complete with his familiar sideline headset, above the phrase, "Yes We Can!"

As the Steelers march toward the playoffs, the president-elect's campaign motto also is a most suitable Steeler Nation battle cry.

"The Obama posters' design is so iconic and immediately recognizable, and I loved them and I also love Mike Tomlin," said Ms. Brennan, 38, of the South Side. "We have the sexiest coach in the NFL. You don't want a shirt with Bill Belichick on it."

Damn.....

That seals the Steelers fate.

They will not win the Super Bowl.

How does some private individual making bootleg t-shirts “seal” the Steelers fate?

Bad mojo, mom.

I don’t like the Rooneys cozying up to the libtards on the left.

On a positive note, I think the Steelers are “living a blessed life”, with the Dallas ‘miracle’ and the replay judge overturning the call on the field.

We still need to whip up on the Titans.

And as always, I’m hoping the Iggles lose!!!

That was Saban. He’s gone now, thankfully.

Ireland is one of the premier talent evaluators in the NFL. He really made a name for himself in Dallas: that team is every bit as much his brainchild as it is Parcells’. Sparano can be Saban’s equal as a coach, which is a pretty big accomplishment.

Good times aren’t just coming, they’re already here.

'Boys play the Baltimore Browns..err Ravens this weekend. Looks like I am going to have to root even harder for 'em 'Boys this weekend. First of all because it benefits the Pats...secondly because of the thug nature of the Ravens.

How bout 'em Cowboys!!

Hi Airborne...Dan Rooney suffers from one of the worst cases of white guilt ever. I think the Chief would slap his oldest son upside his head for his 0bamalove.

This tee shirt though is just a blip on the radar screen. I can’t believe Brennen/Rugh didn’t think asking to use Tomlin’s likeness was important.

On a really plus side...the blue, retro Pens shirt is the hottest selling NHL licensed item this Christmas :)
